I decided to break up my Greensboro series into a second blog post since I've taken so many photos.
The above photo and the next two below are of Blandwood Mansion and Gardens. It was previously the home of John Motley Morehead, a past two-term governor of North Carolina. " It is believed to be the oldest extant example of the Italian Villa Style of architecture in the United States." The home and museum is owned by Preservation Greensboro Inc.
Nathanael Greene was a Major General in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. Greene was originally from Rhode Island but he later became the namesake of Greensboro, NC.
